The Zambia University-College of Technology (ZUT) is a Government owned higher
learning institution established by Statutory Instrument No. 39 of 2022. The
institution has continued to record growth in various areas of operation. The
University-College is based in Ndola, and offers locally and internationally accredited
professional and academic programmes, and a range of other products and
services, such as skills training, consultancy and software development. In order to
build on the current successes and achieve even greater heights, the University-
College seeks to recruit dedicated and innovative professionals who are passionate
about making a significant and positive contribution to the education sector in
Zambia. If you are such an individual possessing necessary qualifications and

1. MANAGER MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – ZUT 3 Salary
Grade, Fixed Term Contract (1 Position).
Job Purpose - Responsible for providing strategic direction and operational
leadership in marketing, student recruitment, branding, and business
development initiatives of Zambia University College of Technology.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 ‘O’ levels including English and
Mathematics
2. Bachelor of Marketing.
3. Master of Science in Marketing.
4. Digital marketing skills will be added advantage
5. At least five (5) years’ experience in Marketing and Business Development.
Key Responsibilities for the positions:
1. Develop, implement, and review the University College’s marketing and
business development strategies in line with the Strategic Plan.
2. Coordinate student recruitment, admissions marketing, exhibitions, school
outreach programmes, and career fairs.
3. Promote and safeguard the University College brand across all
communication platforms and marketing materials.
4. Identify, develop, and manage income-generating initiatives including short
courses, executive education, consultancies, and industry-sponsored
programmes.
5. Establish and manage strategic partnerships with industry, government
institutions, professional bodies, and international organizations.

6. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and stakeholder needs
assessments to inform programme development and positioning.
7. Prepare and submit marketing, enrolment, and business development reports
to Management as required.
8. Coordinate digital marketing, media engagement, public relations, and
corporate communications activities.
9. Supervise and guide staff within the Marketing and Business Development
Unit to ensure effective service delivery.
10. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, Council resolutions, and ethical
standards in all marketing and commercial activities.
11. Undertake such other tasks within the scope of the role as directed by the
Director – Marketing and Business Development or Management from time to
time.

2. SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER – MARKETING AND BUSINESS
DEVELOPMENT – ZUT 5 Salary Grade, Permanent (1 Position):
Job Purpose: Responsible for providing coordination, implementation, and
operational leadership in institutional sales, marketing, branding, and student
recruitment activities. The position supports the Manager – Marketing and
Business Development in enhancing the visibility, reputation, enrolment growth,
and revenue generation of Zambia University College of Technology. The job
holder works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives
align with the University College’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements,
and approved policies.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 ‘O’ levels including English and
Mathematics
2. Bachelor of Marketing.
3. Digital Marketing skills
4. Master of Science in Marketing will be an added advantage
5. At least three (3) years’ experience in Marketing and Business Development.
Key Responsibilities for the position:
1. Be able to plan, execute and optimize digital campaigns (social media,
search engines, emails, and website) to attract prospective students and
increase applications and enrolment.
2. To create and manage the university’s digital content including graphics,
videos, captions, blogs, and campaign creatives.
3. Implement approved sales and marketing strategies in line with institutional
objectives.
4. Coordinate student recruitment initiatives including school outreach
programmes, career fairs, exhibitions, and open days.

5. Promote academic programmes, short courses, professional training, and
consultancy services to support enrolment growth and revenue generation.
6. Support institutional branding and ensure consistency across marketing
materials, media platforms, and public communications.
7. Coordinate the development, production, and dissemination of approved
marketing and promotional materials.
8. Collect and analyse market intelligence on programme demand,
competition, and enrolment trends.
9. Support the development and management of strategic partnerships with
schools, industries, professional bodies, and sponsors.
10. Prepare and submit marketing and recruitment performance reports to the
Manager – Marketing and Business Development as required.
11. Ensure compliance with Higher Education Authority (HEA) guidelines and
institutional policies in all marketing and recruitment activities.
12. Promote professionalism and customer-centred service in engagements
with prospective students and stakeholders.
13. Undertake such other duties within the scope of the role as directed by
Management.
