These awards reflect ZUT's unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality education, fostering innovation, and producing graduates equipped with practical, industry-relevant skills.

FROM NATIONAL EXCELLENCE TO GLOBAL RECOGNITION
ZUT's achievements extend well beyond Zambia's borders. In December 2025, ZUT proudly represented Zambia at the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, competing in the Intelligent Security Technology category.

Our students delivered an outstanding performance, winning a Silver Medal and demonstrating that Zambian talent can compete with the very best in the world.

This remarkable achievement has already produced significant international recognition:

a. VCOM donated an Intelligent Security Technology Training Workstation valued at thousands of United States dollars to strengthen ZUT's practical training capacity.
The equipment arrived in Zambia in June 2026 and is expected to significantly enhance hands-on learning for future students.

b. ZUT received an invitation from WorldSkills Japan to participate in a specialised international training programme held in Tokyo.

ZUT once again sent students to train alongside their Japanese counterparts in preparation for the upcoming WorldSkills International Competition scheduled for September 2026 in Shanghai, China.
These milestones further strengthen ZUT's growing reputation as an institution capable of producing globally competitive graduates.

A PROUD LEGACY OF INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION
ZUT's international success did not begin in 2025. For several years, the University has represented Zambia at various WorldSkills competitions in specialised technical fields, including Information Network Cabling and other advanced technology disciplines.

Countries where ZUT has proudly represented Zambia include:

b. Japan
c. Spain
d. United Arab Emirates
e. China

These international engagements have not only showcased Zambia's Technology-focused talent but have also facilitated valuable knowledge transfer, strengthened international partnerships, and contributed to the advancement of technical education and skills development in Zambia.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
In September 2026, ZUT will once again represent both Zambia and the African continent at the WorldSkills International Competition in Shanghai, China, competing in the Intelligent Security Technology category.
As we continue to push the boundaries of innovation, technology, and excellence, we remain committed to producing graduates who possess the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to compete successfully in the global economy.
